Remembering Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on 159th Birth Anniversary   
Rabindranath Tagore a prolific writer whose works ranged from poetry and songs to short stories and plays. was born on 7 May 1861. He was the first Indian to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature. He also created an educational setup called ‘Shanti Niketan’based on practical activities.  Rabindranath Tagore is the only known person who has written the national anthems for three different countries India, Shri Lanka and Bangladesh. He wrote 'Jana Gana Mana', the national anthem for India, 'Nama Nama Sri Lanka Mata' in Bengali, for Sri Lanka and ‘Amar Sonar Bangla', the national anthem for Bangladesh.
  Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, multifaceted genius –poet, writer, painter, philosopher passed away on August 7, 1941.
